InfoSecurity Event in Caracas
Rafael Nunez Aponte |
Regarding the 2016 edition of the annual event InfoSecurity,
organized by Information Security Inc. (ISEC),
we talked with Rafael Nunez Aponte, in his role of computer security
specialist and CEO of MásQueDigital. Nunez spoke to doblellave.com
and commented topics about the
massification of technology and high
Internet connectivity as well as highlighted how vulnerabilities and
risks in the field have increased more and more every day. Rafael Nunez
expressed his concern and gave a piece of advice about cybersecurity saying that people are used to see Internet as a
safe tool, when in the intangible world there are many threats such as:
- hackers,
- robots,
- and social engineering attacks.
From Caracas, Rafael
Nunez said that it is important to raise awareness in Latin America
since, from his point of view, Latin America people are very reactive and wait
too much before acting; he also noted that companies must invest in cybersecurity
in order to protect themselves and understand that it is not an expense of
resources, but an important investment.
